Breyer: GG Valentine and Heartbreaker

Two new Breyer trotted into my collection Thursday - GG Valentine and Heartbreaker.
I was mainly after the mare, but the foal is very sweet too.
Before I buy a model I like to see lots of pictures from different angles if I can - so for those out there who can't decide about this pair, some photos for you!

September's finds and treasures

These three arrived within a couple of days of each other.
The Caribou and Kangaroo were travel companions from the Netherlands.
Yes, you do recognise this Caribou;) but it has been transformed from something plain and boring to something extremely special and beautiful!  From the talented hands of my friend Anna, a stunning repaint of the Papo Caribou.

Anna also sent me a lovely little Preiser Kangaroo

From eBay I won an adorable Breyer foal

Flat Coated Retriever 1:9

The largest dog sculpture I've done yet, a 1:9 scale Flat Coated Retriever.  Modelled from a real dog called Bramble, who I actually had the privilege of meeting in real life.
He is a beautiful dog and I enjoyed sculpting him very much, you'll maybe notice this is my first dog with it's mouth open too.  The part I love the most when sculpting is the detail, it was great fun doing the teeth and tongue!
My brother took loads of photos for me to work from, this is the pose the sculpture was based on.
The sculpture in the photos has come out more brown than it really is, I always struggle photographing black.
